The Africa Security Symposium (ASEC2022) returns as a live, in-person event, and remains an opportunity like no other!

The Africa Security Symposium (ASEC) is a truly pan-African event which has grown in prominence over the years and has enjoyed the continued support of the African Union Commission, United Nations, leading NGOs, INTERPOL and many more among our esteemed delegation.

The event is exclusively attended by Government Ministers, investors, industry suppliers, senior police, military and NGO stakeholders - all with the common goal of improving the security and stability of the continent. To maximise networking opportunities and create long-term partnerships, ASEC has created a unique platform facilitating personable 1-2-1 matchmaking meetings with participants of your choosing.

The 9th Africa Security Symposium (ASEC2022), will take place on 17th – 18th May 2022 in the African hub of Nairobi, Kenya. Hosting approximately 300 delegates and exhibitors, you will participate in pre-event procurement workshops, a Defence Attaches' workshop, dedicated networking sessions, a cultural dinner, pre-scheduled 1-2-1 matchmaking meetings (using our bespoke ‘meeting scheduling software’), and a first-ever post-event security simulation exercise workshop!

Through this targeted approach, ASEC actively tackles some of the most pressing issues in the region, with thematic panel discussions (exclusively Chaired by Event Sponsors) encouraging audience participation to progress ideas of change - a departure from traditional ‘talk shop’ events. The overwhelmingly positive feedback has shown that this is the preferred deal-making platform for discovering new opportunities, products and services in Africa.

There is no such thing as an African problem. In an increasingly globalised world, issues in all regions have an impact on wider society. The challenges that Africa face vary throughout the region, but all require a united effort to overcome: from terrorism to policing to peace operations, it is necessary for the public and private sector to collaborate to strengthen security across the region. At ASEC2022 you can expect to meet and collaborate with government officials, security experts, and private sector suppliers in a safe, intimate setting to strategize solutions to the region’s most challenging issues.

Each year the event has grown and become a staple feature in the security calendar. ASEC has facilitated many partnerships and highlighted the opportunities for both the public-private sector, to the benefit of the continent.
