Welcome from ASEC2022's Symposium Chair
Dear honoured guests, delegates, and sponsors,
It is a great opportunity and privilege for me to Chair this year’s 9th edition of the
Africa Security Symposium (ASEC2022) in Nairobi, Kenya. I believe there is nothing more important to human life than security & stability, that can bring us together. It is therefore my pleasure to thank you for your time and worthwhile contribution in this subject matter, as we look ahead to the 17th and 18th May.
Insecurity, globally, and specifically in the Horn of Africa, has been the single most contributor of absolute poverty. Your time in Nairobi will therefore be time well spent in a deserving area of human contribution across our great continent. It is my prayer and hope that our deliberation here will find its way into operational best practices and strategy, streamlining processes across our countries to aid development efforts.
I look forward to meeting you all this May and wish you a happy stay in Kenya and fruitful deliberation.
